"RUNNING FOR MY LIFE!" BY ALEXIS ALFORD

I run through the forest, dead leaves crunching under me after every step.

I need to get away, lives are depending on it.

I take a turn and run through the trees with everything I have.

I don't know how much longer I have but I have to lose them. I have to!

I can do this!

No looking back.

I keep running through the woods taking sharp turns, trying to shake them off.

Faster!

I scream in my mind and try to pick up my pace, I'm so exhausted. My muscles are screaming in pain, but I refuse to give up.

Then all of a sudden as I take a step forward, I feel nothing as I fall into an abyss.

The last thing I hear is the sound of my alarm clock, buzzing.
